About us

Quality and Strategy Development, Application and Research Centre started its activities within the scope of the regulation published in the Official Gazette on 30 October 2017. Quality Commission and Quality and Strategy Development, Application and Research Centre are responsible for quality management at Trakya University. The relationship between the Commission and the Centre has been linked taking into account the recommendations of the external evaluation.
Within the scope of the external evaluation carried out by the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council in 2017, an amendment was made to the regulation of the centre, taking into account the assessment that "having two separate units as Quality Commission and Quality and Strategy Development, Application and Research Centre may lead to uncertainty in quality-related studies and practices". On 22 January 2018, with the amendment regulation published in the Official Gazette, it was regulated that the centre will support the work of the Quality Commission and work in coordination.
In this context, the internal evaluation report of the institution will be prepared by the centre in coordination with the Quality Commission and submitted to the commission, and the Quality Commission and the Quality and Strategy Development Application and Research Centre will carry out joint studies in the processes of data collection and reporting in line with the demands of the Quality Commission.
In addition, in order to establish a link between the Quality and Strategy Development Application and Research Centre and the Quality Commission in all quality-related activities, it was decided that some of the commission members will take part in the advisory board of the Quality and Strategy Development Application and Research Centre.
Since 2017, the Centre has been actively working on quality and strategy issues and has been involved in carrying out improvement efforts at the University in coordination with the relevant commissions and units.
